Karim Osman @osmanjewelry – comes from Egypt and is a third generation jeweler and gemologist in his family. He moved to Bangkok after graduating college with the aim to start a jewelry business. His handmade designs are nature inspired using raw and polished stones.
Before studying at AIGS, he visited Northern Vietnam to learn more about gems and jewelry. This sparked his passion for gemstones even more and led him to formal studies at AIGS.
Recognizing AIGS is one of the best places to study colored stones, he enrolled and received the AIGS Accredited Gemologist (A.G.) Diploma in 2019. Osman remarks, “AIGS was so important for me! My study there made me more confident in dealing with anything related to gemstones.”
His advice for anyone looking to start a jewelry business is to “be authentic, do what you love and always keep learning.”
