Distance Learning/ e-learning

    Distance Learning is for those who want want to learn about gemstones, but are unable to travel to Bangkok to do their studies on campus.  Students can study at their own pace in the comfort of their own home.  Text books are sent by traditional mail, but homework is submitted by email.  A weekly Skype session is arranged for questions and answers between students and instructors.  Students are also given access to our vast collection of more than 10,000 inclusion pictures.

    In order to obtain the Accredited Gemologist Diploma, students are required to take the exam on campus in Bangkok.  Although the lab session is not compulsory, it is recommended that students physically examine at least 2,000 gemstones in our student lab prior to taking the exam.  It normally takes approximately 30 days to complete examining 2,000 gemstones.  Please note that charges will apply for the use of gemological equipment in the student lab as well as the physical access to the gemstone collection.
